Background & History

BMRS Asia was founded in Bangkok in 2004, by British and Thai partners who were experienced research professionals and had worked for many years with two of the Top 5 global research firms in Bangkok. Our research team has gained experience from markets around Asia as well as in Europe. In 2010 we opened our 2nd full-service research office in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, together with local partners experienced in marketing research and consulting.

The mix of talent that we have working for us means that we can truly claim to have local understanding combined with global knowledge and insight. The team members at BMRS Asia have backgrounds in various positions within these sectors that cover such diverse functions as Advertising, Sales & Marketing, Operations, Customer Liaison, After-Sales, HR and Branch Management. And importantly, the Research Directors at BMRS Asia are also the owner-partners ? not simply salaried employees. Which means that our Clients can always expect the best from us at all times.


BMRS Asia is headquartered in Bangkok, but with a partner consulting office in the UK. This enables us to serve the Asia Pacific region with timely efficiency, whilst also keeping up-to-date with the latest Best Practices from the rest of the world. And although most of our Clients conduct their business and marketing research within Thailand and Cambodia, we also provide research services for a growing number of Clients in other emerging ASEAN markets. We also have experience of managing multi-country projects spanning the entire Asia-Pacific region, by using reliable and experienced fieldwork companies in other countries.


Our success has been built on providing our existing Clients with trusted insights into the behaviour and attitudes of people - Customers, Employees, consumers and any other Stakeholder groups that affect a company?s performance in the marketplace.
